There are many things you can do in Greece for your honeymoon. Take a yacht or sail, try diving or drive. Spend time on the Greek islands Greece:
There are more than 100 islands in Greece, ranging from steep cliffs to long sandy beaches. Crystal clear Aegean water and turquoise blue. The green areas of the islands and the whitewashed homes are perfect photography events.
Santorini has all the beaches, great shopping, restaurants and nightlife, not to mention great views. Enjoy watching the sunset over dinner on the edge of a volcano, or immerse your toes in the black sandy beach of Perissa. Go snorkeling or explore the Minoan ruins of Akrotiri. Mykonos Island also on the Cyclades is a great place for young couples or those who really love to celebrate their honeymoon. The Mykonos is known for its excellent nightlife and beautiful but rather crowded beaches. You can take ferries from Mykonos to nearby islands such as Crete, Syros and Tinos. The island of Delos is mainly attractive.
If you want something more commercial and familiar, then see Crete. Filled with restaurants, shops and rooms Crete has it all. If you want to explore this large island, drive a little further towards the Western Edge or rent a car and walk the windy roads through lovely little villages and pristine beaches. Crete is full of Minoan relics, and monasteries are also active if you are interested in this kind of thing.
Rhodes is particularly beautiful and is another popular Greek island. The medieval town and castle are wonderful. Rhodes also has a lot of great nightlife, beautiful beaches and luxurious resorts that are perfect for honeymoons.
Travel to Greece:
While many people have a very romantic idea that Greece is temperate all year round, it is best to enjoy a honeymoon in the warmer months of the year. Spring and autumn are good times to visit and not as busy as summer. In the winter, you will probably be exposed to rain and wind.
While in Greece, you will find a number of ferry services that take you to the islands and the various buses that take you around the mainland and the islands to the tourist resorts and some great beach spots. You can also rent a car on the mainland and get around alone!
